Ray Hydes - Head Coach
Coach Hydes is entering his 25th year as Midlothian High School and his 36th year coaching. He graduated from Nederland High School in 1981, where he won All-District honors in both baseball and football. Coach Hydes began his coaching career at DeSoto High School and was also head coach at Joshua High School in 1990. Coach Hydes attended Angelina Junior College where he was named All-Conference Catcher for two years. Coach Hydes then transferred to Dallas Baptist University where he played in two College World Series tournaments and was named to the World Series All-Tournament Team. Other honors Coach Hydes has received include All-American Catcher, MVP of the Regional Tournament (1985), and two years All-Conference at Dallas Baptist University.
Coach Hydes and his wife, Tanya, have been married for 33 years and have a 27 year old daughter, Raegan.
