Justin Hastings - Varsity Assistant Coach
Justin Hastings is in his 9th year teaching and coaching, all of which have been at Midlothian. In July of 2024, he was named the Varsity Assistant Coach. A native of West Texas, Coach Hastings was born and raised in Hamlin where he graduated from Hamlin High School in 2007. At HHS, he lettered in Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track and Golf. On the diamond, he was named the District MVP his Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons and was nominated 2nd Team All State his Sophomore year and 1st Team All State his Junior and Senior seasons. He was also fortunate enough to be selected to play in the GWTBCA All Star game in Lubbock, as well as the THSBCA All Star Game at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. After playing college baseball for a little while, being employed outside of education and graduating from Texas Tech University, he followed his lifelong calling of teaching and coaching.
Coach and his wife Chelsea welcomed their first child, (daughter) Fallyn in August of 2021.
